About us
All-Ukrainian Association for Youth Cooperation “Alternative-V” is a non-political, non-profit non-governmental youth organization, founded in 1992. Alternative-V was created to facilitate cooperation among international and local youth organizations, to promote active citizenship among Ukrainian youth through their involvement into programs in the fields of non-formal education, culture, environment and historical heredity protection and helping people with special needs.
Alternative-V has the aim to contribute to the development of more peaceful society, to the decrease of social injustice.
The main programmes in which Alternative-V is involved in incoming and outgoing projects and specifically in:
- organizing international youth volunteer workcamps in Ukraine;
- coordinating international youth volunteer exchanges (short-term, mid-term and long-term);
- organising seminars, trainings, conferences, study tours on both national and international levels;
- coordinating work of the local volunteers on social projects.
Alternative-V is:
- member of CCIVS /UNESCO (Co-ordination Committee for International Voluntary Service (http://www.ccivs.org) ;
- member of the Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations (http://www.alliance-network.eu/)
- official partner organisation of Service Civil International (SCI) (https://www.sci.ngo/).
